I am standing as your Conservative candidate for the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council Elections in May 2024. With a deep-rooted commitment to our community's welfare and a vision for a brighter, more sustainable future, I am honoured to represent your voices in this crucial election.
Having called Paddock Wood my home since 2020, I've witnessed the significant changes our town has undergone. As an architect, I understand the importance of responsible development that respects our countryside while meeting the needs of our growing community. But development must not come at the expense of our quality of life.
Currently serving as a Councillor on the Paddock Wood Town Council, I've seen firsthand the challenges our residents face daily. With two children of my own, a 9-year-old and a 1-year-old I share your concerns about the future of our town. That's why I'm committed to ensuring that every decision made regarding housing development prioritises essential infrastructure.
It's a principle I stand by firmly: no housing development should be approved without the necessary infrastructure in place. Paddock Wood has already experienced significant growth, leading to issues like flooding, a lack of youth activities, diversity of businesses in our town and parking congestion along Commercial Road. Additionally, I recognise the increasing concerns about antisocial behaviour and crime in our community.
As your councillor, I will work tirelessly to address these pressing issues. I will fight for adequate flood mitigation measures, advocate for more youth activities and sports facilities as well as address concerns over anti-social behaviour. Moreover, I will voice the concerns over the parking congestion along Commercial Road head-on, seeking practical solutions to alleviate this burden on local businesses and residents.
Together, let's build a Paddock Wood that prioritises the well-being and prosperity of every resident, both young and old. With your support, we can create a community where families like ours can thrive, where our children have ample opportunities to grow and succeed.
